Learning Curve, or Learning Arc

Started back at Japanese class last night (class 1.4), it was fantastic to see the few survivors from 1.3 and disappointing to see so many of us not continuing on with the classes.
Our new class is a mixture of our own from 1.3 and a class which had previously done 1.2, due to insignificant numbers in applicants the two classes have been merged into a 1.4 to keep the classes going, although this isn't ideal i suppose it does ensure we continue learning.

Revision was a fun and interesting task, we went over a lot of things i really should have known quite solidly but after a summer rather lacking in Japanese study and contact due to a job in the states (ill talk about this in another post) it was safe to say i was a little empty upstairs particularly my Katakana.

We went over verbs, i and na adjectives, numbers, sentence structure and particle use, counters, days of the week, months of the year, and of course... dates in the month. I personally could not recall a single one of the irregulars. Our teacher then produced this to help us learn... if we dont learn them we have to listen to it again, and again until we do... its some sort of torture learn it or have to listen to the AWFUL days of the month rap.

I give it to you now...

Although the continuation of the class is great, there is a low point our teacher from our last three terms Tomoko Watanabe (if you ever take a evening class in Japanese at Edinburgh University fingers crossed for tomoko) is no longer our teacher instead we have a knew teacher who seems lovely however is not Japanese ill be interested to find out how we progress now learning from a non native speaker, it will be interesting it might make no difference at all to our learning process it might make all the difference in the world.
